Is naNo catching up with me?

I have been talking a bit about eaTing biG and thinKing naNo recently. Well, its not just thinking and talking no more. Looks like its beginning to catch up with me like a true prophecy-come-true.

How?

A friend of mine sent me this huge card on my birthday. Like 1×2 feet. I was really impressed. There was this nice pic on one page, and she had signed her name on the bottom. On the other side was the usual card manufacturer’s name etc. Cool so far?

Now she calls me up, and tells me about how she decorated the card. Yes?? So I go ahead and touch both the front and the back of the card. I feel nothing decorating the card – clean paper surface, other than the pretty picture of course. So I figured maybe she did some real good painting work on it that its not decipherable.

That is, until I somehow unwittingly waved the card, and it actually OPENS up! Of course the card was a full 4 pages and a full 2×2 feet and I had just only seen the outer flaps. She had done this incredible amount of work in decorating it, really beautifully. How did I not notice it? Well, I’m thinking naNo. Kong, our Professor in the electromagnetics class used to throw questions to the class with, “so smart MIT students, whats the answer, tell me?” When I saw the card open up, Kong popped up in my mind with: so smart MIT student, you figured it was a card finally? ;)

Thinking naNo, am I not?

Now today I am talking with the same friend, and we are arguing about the time it takes to fly between Boston and LA. To prove my point, I get online and start looking for flights, but none of the airlines seems to be flying from Boston to California. I get ‘no match found’ errors. I am flumoxxed. She challenges me when I tell her a particular airlines doesn’t fly there, and sends me a link to show it does. And then I realize my naNo thinking again. I had been trying to find flights to “california” airport ;) .

And eaTing biG? Hell, yes! I spent an hour this evening talking about marathons with 2 friends and helped myself to a big helping of rice and kadai paneer and naan. Earlier in the day, I had rice and self-cooked-yummy aloo tamater(translated as ‘potato tomato curry’) and had dozed off on my laptop for fifteen minutes.

Words are catching up with my life and influencing it. Where is Henry James, please?
