Home Coming

Home coming

Her radiance
has blurred
the pain of years.

She looks happy beyond recognition.

The space of my mind
has pulled her
to my house, at last.

She has sensed
the space of my thoughts,
where she has lived for years.

She has heard
the bells
in my temple.

She has felt
the waves
of my yearnings.

She smiles recognition.

The sun is setting
in her bangles.

I look up
not at her
but her lips
red,
with the juice of paan.

I am looking at her, today.

Glances, exchanged
cloud my eyes
reels flash across in multitudes.

She carried my soul
while I lived
waiting for her.

She has come
for redemption.
It is time for transition.

Death
will be the moment
of my life.
